Quality City Living
Myself and 2 roommates have been in a 3 bed/3 bath unit at MAA Lenox for a 10-month lease. The experience has been a positive one across many categories. The complex is hidden off the main roads and gives a neighborhood feel. Maintenance has been prompt and responsive. Leasing staff is easy to work with and offers a positive attitude at all times. Location gives easy access to 400 and Brookhaven.
Living at MAA Lenox
I like the property but i do not like the parking. I love my apartment but i do feel like its expensive. I feel like the staff could be more available.
For the price it could be better.
I thought I was getting a good deal prior to moving in. 2000 for a luxury property seemed like a steal. The water heater is so small that you can't even fill a bath tub or take a shower longer than 5 minutes. There always seems to be a problem with the elevators. The hallways often smell like pot. A lot of the neighbors are very loud and the walls are thin. The appliances themselves are quite dated including the counter tops/cabinets. The whole style is very early 2000s. There is dog poop quite literally every 2 feet on the sidewalk surrounding the property. There is broken glass in the cul de sac everywhere. The trash guy sounds like a literal bomb dropping outside it is very loud. Thicker walls/windows would really make all the difference. The 2nd floor (where the mail room is) smells like cat litter, very strongly. If the rent were 1500, I would consider resigning my lease next year. However, I am considering moving to a completely new city/state and maybe trying a different MAA property since I work remotely. This is not a luxury property by any standards. Remember- a big bath tub is nothing if you cant fill it. God that is annoying. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
Cleanliness
The cleanliness of the building is unacceptable. Trash is constantly being left in the trash room and the elevator space floor is always sticky and not cleaned daily as it should be.
Overall great place to live
For the price there are some small things I expect not to deal with from time to time. The fees are wild. But overall great property, great for hosting. Using event spaces should be absolutely FREE or at least at a smaller. price with the amount of rent we pay, but that's pretty much my only complaint on the property itself. Danny is one of my personal favorites as far as staff. He is usually very helpful and eager to help, I'm always happy to see him when he is in. I love Mike in the maintenance department, he's gone out of his way to help me on many occasions. I will say that most staff in this department are speedy and very efficient. My only negative review regarding staff is the Property Manager Malia. As she shows absolutely no empathy, compassion to tenants. Every interaction with her has been cold and deadpan. I think this should be corrected seeing how occasionally speaking with residents/tenants is a large part of the position.
