The place is great, alot of space for a really great value. No A/C, no In unit washer/dryer, and no living room or bedroom lights is a slight inconvenience. Also, the interior of the peoperty is very bland and a slight eyesore. Could benefit from a planter or bench. Pool and Gym are nice.

Have always loved the area and apartment. Some residents have not always been ideal neighbors but that’s city life. Super clean and calm building to come home to.

Renter's guide to Culver City, CA

Sitting among the wide western suburbs of Los Angeles is the cinematic community of Culver City, CA. Known for its colorful history and scenery as well as the exceptional weather, it's no wonder that this prime location is commonly considered one of the top places to live in the long state of California.

Conveniently situated between downtown LA and the Pacific Coast, it is 'technically' a smaller city with less than 50,000 full-time residents. However, there are also many visitors year round who mainly come to see the sights and soak-up some sunshine. This is certainly not surprising seeing that the temperature here rarely drops below 43°F or rises above 86°F throughout the whole year.

Tips for renting in Culver City, CA

If you plan on renting in Culver City, it's advisable to get familiar with the area first. Some sections are much busier than others in regards to traffic and daily activity, so look around to see what suits you best. Never settle for just a virtual tour, even when a place looks good online and/or from the outside. Also, since this is a rather affluent area, it's recommended to rent a place with a security system.

Remember that rental rates in Culver City will be well above the state and national average, but politely attempting to negotiate never hurts. Plus, this is surely a place where renting more living space than you really need can become a costly mistake. Therefore, determine the minimum dimensions you'll require before moving forward, and maybe even decide to downsize. Lastly, keep in mind that Renter's rights will vary for each state. For instance, the rental laws in California place a limit on the security deposit amount a landlord is allowed to charge the tenant, which cannot be more than the total of 2 months rent. So, learn the local laws and be sure to closely review all the details of any rental agreement before signing!
