In fact, they like to consider themselves "The Christmas Capital of Texas", with over 1,400 local events in the 40 days leading up to Christmas. And true to its name, Grapevine has a growing wine-making industry and hosts the largest wine festival in the Southwest.

But if you need a break from the Texas sun, you can retreat indoors at the SEALIFE Aquarium. Other things to do in Grapevine with kids include the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, with its “build and play” zones, rides, and 4D cinema. It’s located in Grapevine Mills mall, which is one of the better shopping options in the city. The Grapevine Towne Center is another great choice, and you can always find plenty of shops on historic Grapevine Main Street.
