I love living here, the community is very quiet, the neigbors are kind, parking is easily accessible, and the ammenities this place has to offer are great. This is easily a top pick when compared to other appartments and communities elsewhere.

I've lived in the property for a little over a year and I love it. The area is nice and quiet and the people living in the community are friendly for the most part. I would definitely recommend the properties to others.

    Living in Long Beach, CA

    Living in location

Long Beach is a port city located along the Pacific Ocean just 24 miles south of Los Angeles. It's one of the world's largest shipping ports and is an important center for trade. The city is also located over an oil field and, historically, the economy has centered around oil extraction. However, today's economy is much more diverse, and renters will find jobs in aerospace, technology and more. Long Beach renters enjoy an urban environment with plenty of fun things to do, but at a slower pace of life than nearby Los Angeles. The city is known for its stunning beachfront, which has an extensive bike path. Popular attractions include the Queen Mary - which is a historic, 1930s ocean liner that has been converted into a hotel - as well as the Aquarium of the Pacific, which is one of the largest aquariums in the region. The city also hosts the Grand Prix of Long Beach car race each year, which is a popular event among tourists and local renters alike. Additionally, Long Beach has a burgeoning food and drink scene, and renters enjoy affordable and laidback nightlife options.

Moreover, the waterfront is a focal point of leisure activities, where the historic Pine Avenue Pier offers stunning views of the harbor. The pier is a popular spot for fishing, sunset watching, and attending the many festivals that take place throughout the year. For renters who prefer a more active lifestyle, the city provides ample opportunities for water sports, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and sailing.

    Renting in Long Beach, CA

Long Beach offers more affordable rental prices than other parts of the LA metro area. However, rental prices and the general cost of living are still much higher than the national average. Additionally, many apartments here are very spacious compared to other similarly sized cities. Some rental properties even offer amenities, like pools and roof decks, to help you take advantage of Long Beach's beautiful weather. Meanwhile, downtown Long Beach consists mostly of mid-rise and high-rise apartment complexes. Then, as you move away from the beach, you'll find sprawling low-rise apartment complexes, as well as some single-family homes. As you might expect, many rental properties have a colorful, beachy feel, and older craftsman and bungalow homes are common. Rentals near downtown also tend to be very walkable, while neighborhoods further north and west have a more traditional suburban feel and are more spread out.

    Things for renting

    Shopping in Long Beach, CA

Renters in downtown Long Beach have a variety of shopping options to choose from. For instance, the Pike Outlets is a mall in the downtown area that offers many popular brands at discounted prices. Likewise, Shoreline Village is another mall located on the coast that's popular among tourists and is known for its gift shops. Other popular commercial areas among local renters include 4th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, both of which have a mix of chains and independent shops. Of course, Long Beach renters also have a variety of grocery options to choose from. Specifically, Vons and Ralph's are two of the largest chains in the area, while Smart & Final, Food4Less and Grocery Outlet all offer low-cost options. Local renters will also find a variety of international groceries here, including Mexican favorites at Northgate Market and small Asian markets in Little Cambodia.

    Transportation in Long Beach, CA

Driving is the fastest and easiest way for renters to get around Long Beach. However, it's important to note that traffic can be very heavy, and not all apartments come with free or secure parking on-site. That said, I-710 and I-405 are two of the closest highways to downtown. Alternatively, Long Beach Transit runs local buses throughout the city, while other transit agencies offer express buses to the surrounding area. Additionally, the LA Metro A Line light rail connects downtown Long Beach with downtown Los Angeles. Finally, renters who fly frequently will also enjoy the convenience of the Long Beach Airport, and the Los Angeles International Airport isn't far away, either. Plus, a FlyAway shuttle bus runs from downtown Long Beach to Los Angeles International Airport.
